A Fresh Start

Time flew by, good days, bad days, changes, endings and beginnings. Fresh start with a fresh post.

(
500) Days of Summer ; it was just brilliantly, humorously executed, a fantastic arthouse indie film that everyone needs to appreciate.

I Love You Beth Cooper ; even though I have read reviews from critics that brutally trashed the movie, I went ahead and watched it without any particular mindset and I did enjoy it, it was well obviously you can't expect alot from it but it wasn't at all a trashy comedy as the majority described.

Wednesday

House M.D.

As a big house fan, I just gotta talk about it at some point. This season finale is one of the greatest ever; just gotta love House. So watch it people!

Tuesday

Goodbye California

I'll miss the place, the food, the sun, the taste of speed and the list goes on. No more In&Out, Diddy Reese... okay that was pretty hard to type out. Well next stop London, Europe, Design.

Friday

DayDream

I have found that I have stressed my first-gen Macbook Pro to its limits, it can no longer handle the demands I casually dump on it. If only somehow I could just change out the processor and max out its memory, but Apple would rather you upgrade to the current most updated one with sweet spec bumps (since it's not really possible to switch out the parts); the 17-inch Hi-Res LED widescreen display along with 2.6Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo stringing 4GB Ram and a 300GB hdd. How I wish I could magically transform mine to that, then again I must be dreaming...

Waterfalls

How I wish I was living in NYC, the waterfall project is just going to be one big photo op.

Thursday

Diesel Messenger Bag

Craving for the messenger bag above, can't seem to find it anywhere on their site or the model-no.; bummer.

Tuesday

All I need

A unique and exclusive collaboration between Radiohead and MTV EXIT to raise awareness of human trafficking and exploitation in order to increase prevention. A very powerful and moving video, for more information visit www.mtvexit.org

thoughts running wild

Recently I have been having bits and pieces of thoughts scattered everywhere in my head, so I figure I might as well jot it down somewhere.

I don't know what's wrong with Philippe Starck, but I still like him as a designer.
I think I am a movie addict.
I need to start doing something I like, instead of stuff i have absolutely no interests in
I need to go EVERYWHERE and take photos.
I want to do a little bit of everything there is to Design, instead of specialising.
I crave for vietnamese food.
I think creativity makes me happy.
I think people should not judge in anyway.
I need to keep thinking time to myself and do my thing in those times.
I think debating or questioning the matter on existence of God or a higher-being is pointless, there are better things to do.
I want to lie by the sea and gaze at nowhere.
I can't wait to explore the wonders of EUROPE.
I want to BuilD my own house from scratch.
I need to work out MoRe often
I think traditions are a nuisance in life; people should be more susceptible to change.
I like mesSy (sometimes).
I think people just need to be Who they want to be.

Monday

New York, I Love You

A movie I am looking forward to apart from the big blockbusters; then again I might be contradicting myself, since it stars an all star cast. The New York version of Paris, je t'aime (one of my favourite movies), can't wait till the trailer comes out (more like the movie, but a trailer would do for now).

Saturday

Uncommon Knowledge

From Acejet170, rules to guide you through the tough times of design (mostly towards graphic and typography). Follow and succeed.

Friday

Urge

A bit outdated but a place I've been dying to go, but god knows when I'll get the chance to. The New Museum, New York, designed by Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa/SANAA ; photograph by Dean Kaufman.

Wednesday

Seek

Motivation comes in all sorts of way, for me it has always been towards the things I'm interested in doing or I find intriguing to a certain level. Majority of people has that one thing they are truly inspired by or love or good at. And whatever that is they will always find the motivations to do it, that kind of motivation is not like materilistic or some kind of reward at the end of the day, but sort of a rush of energy that keeps you going. I haven't really found that one thing till recently and I have been doing stuff i have no interest in, they are not useless but still they just don't really matter because they can't bring me that certain 'high'. You just can't do something you dislike or have a lack of interests in, its not healthy and after all we only have one life, so might as well do something you like, rebel if you have to, because if you don't you will regret it later on. Anyways enough of my trashy thoughts.

Blossom in Design

Found this via FFFFound, it holds true to what design is so follow this rule and you will truly blossom. So see more, learn more and absorb; the minor details of life are as important and interesting as anything else, be unique and avoid conforming to normality; find your own fresh approach to any problems that come knocking. And in the mean time,

A Start

I
have been meaning to set up a flash site or something similar of the sort for quite some time now, as a mean to blog my thoughts down, post anything i find interesting/inspiring, set up my portfolio or just to write out my daily life; well this scheme of mine has been past due for long enough, and for most reasons due to a severe degree of laziness, so i gotta make nice with the angels dwelling within me and this is the closest i could get to be actually bothered to start for now...

p.s. the sildeshow of photos aren't mine, still trying to figure out how to link flickr to blogger
